Cross infection in the dental office, or the transfer of infection from one individual to another in a health care environment is one of the major hazards a patient faces. The aim of Sterilization is preventing cross-contamination and eliminates the risk of spreading diseases like Hepatitis etc.
At, Dr. Khandpur’s Dental Centre safety is our priority. Our centre adheres to the highest standards of asepsis and sterilization and exceeding the norms and guidelines laid down by ADA and European Dental Guidelines.

We employ the following methods at our dental office to ensure your safety:

Autoclave (pressurized steam): All dental instruments including hand pieces & burs, are sterilized in a high-pressure steam Melag autoclave. Our computerized autoclave one of the best in the world and abides by the most stringent regulations. As an added assurance, the autoclave undergoes tests to ensure that sterilization process is never compromised. Be rest assured that always a new pack of supplies is opened in front of patients prior to treatment & this process is the standard of care.

Chemical Sterilization: Many of the items, which cannot tolerate the heat, are sterilized using chemical solutions which destroy both bacteria and viruses.
Surface Decontamination: All surfaces such as dental chairs, stools, control buttons, light handles & countertops and are disinfected with chemical solutions. These chemical solutions prevent the proliferation of microbes on these surfaces.

Disposable Items: Many of the items used in our dental office are discarded after a single use. These items include examination gloves, masks, drinking cups, saliva ejectors, high speed suction tips, rubber cleaning cups, tray covers, sterilization pouches, mixing tips & pads, anesthesia ampoules and needle tips.
Clean Water Delivery System: All of our dental chairs use only distilled water and are equipped with an independent clean water delivery system. The water is distilled in our dental office and we have an in-house water purifier system to ensure the quality standards.
